Built to compound for generations
Entropy 256 is a single-family office headquartered in the Greater Tampa Area. We exist for one purpose: to preserve and grow one family's capital across generations, with the patience and independence that only permanent capital allows. We invest across public and private markets alike — holding public equities alongside direct positions in private companies.
Our name is drawn from the mathematics that secures the world's hardest money. A bitcoin private key is protected by 256 bits of entropy — a keyspace so vast that brute force is not merely impractical but physically impossible. We take it as our emblem: small in expression, immense in consequence, and utterly resistant to compromise.
In thermodynamics, entropy is the tendency of systems toward disorder. Markets are no different. Our work is to find the assets, businesses, and technologies that create order from that disorder — and to hold them long enough for time to do the compounding.
